Mini golf is one of the few activities a 5-year-old, a teenager and a grandparent can all enjoy together, and keep score while doing it. If you’re near Toledo, Sylvania or Temperance and looking for an easy family outing, here’s a quick guide to the mini golf course at Quarry Ridge Golf Center.
The basics
- 18 holes of mini golf in a scenic setting right next to our 9-hole course
- $8 per person for ages 6 and up
- $3 for kids 5 and under
- Group discounts available, so ask at the pro shop
- Free on-site parking
Children 7 and under need to be accompanied by an adult. No golf experience is needed. We hand you a putter and a ball and you’re off.
When is mini golf open?
Mini golf is seasonal. It’s open in the warmer months and typically closed in winter. Hours shift through the year, so give the pro shop a quick call at (734) 888-1020 before you drive out.
If the mini golf course is closed for the season, the heated driving range is open through winter. Older kids who want to try hitting a real golf ball love it.
Tips for a great family round
Keep score loosely. For younger kids, cap each hole at six strokes so nobody gets stuck.
Let kids go first. They’re less patient waiting their turn, and it keeps the group moving.
Make it a challenge. Try one-handed putting, putting with your eyes closed (with a spotter), or “closest to the hole wins” on each hole.
Bring water and sunscreen. Summer afternoons on the course can get warm.
Make a day of it
Quarry Ridge has the 9-hole course, the driving range and mini golf all in one spot. Parents can hit a bucket while the kids putt, or the whole family can try a few holes on the real course.
Birthday parties and groups
Mini golf makes an easy, affordable birthday party. It’s fun for every age and doesn’t need much planning. See our Parties & Groups page to send us your date and headcount.
